"What stood out to me immediately was how welcoming the team was," Adam says. "I felt supported not only by my direct team, but by people across the business. Very quickly, I felt like I had a place here."
That sense of inclusion helped Adam transition into his role with confidence, giving him opportunities to contribute beyond what he initially expected early in his career.
One of Adam's most impactful projects so far involved redesigning the way project and financial reporting data was consolidated and shared across the business. Recognizing the inefficiencies caused by relying on multiple disconnected data sources, he developed a dashboard that integrated operational execution and forecasting data into a centralized reporting tool. The result streamlined visibility into project status while reducing administrative burden across teams.
"As we continue moving toward digitalization and automation, having one centralized source for project and financial data became really important," he explains. "The goal was to create something that saved time and allowed teams to focus more energy on supporting our customers."
While much of Adam's work takes place behind the scenes, he understands the direct connection between operational efficiency and mission success. By improving internal processes and creating clearer, more accessible reporting, his work helps strengthen the organization's ability to support customers quickly and effectively. "Without strong back-end processes, we're less effective when we go to customers," he says. "My role is about helping create systems and reporting that make the organization more efficient and responsive."
"The people at SGT give me the opportunity to have a seat at the table even though I'm early on in my career. That trust has really helped build my confidence as I continue to grow professionally."
One experience that especially reinforced SGT's collaborative culture was attending the Innovation and Leadership Summit, the company's in-person conference that brings employees together for workshops, seminars, and strategic discussions. For Adam, who works remotely, the event offered an opportunity to connect face-to-face with colleagues from across the organization while gaining a deeper understanding of SGT's broader mission and long-term strategy.
"Being able to meet people in person really strengthened those connections beyond a computer screen," he says. "It also helped me better understand how our Grow, Transform, and Operate strategies come to life across the business."
Looking ahead, Adam is excited by the continued evolution of technology and the opportunities it creates for SGT and its customers. As Siemens continues integrating software, hardware, and digital capabilities more closely together, he sees tremendous potential for collaboration across the organization and for delivering even stronger solutions to government customers.
"I'm excited to see how teams across SGT continue working together to provide the best possible solutions and services for our customers," he says. "There's a lot of opportunity ahead, and I'm excited to be part of it."
